My Husband Who Is 95 Was Diagnosed With Anemia After

my Husband who is 95 was diagnosed with Anemia after gastropexy and ileocecotomy. He is now on Iron Ferrous sulfate 325 mg twice a day. Does low hemoglobin cause weakness and confusion. our primary said his HGB and HCT are starting to trend upward. He has been on the Ferrous sulfate a week now. They will not transfuse now HCT is 25 now and HGB is now 7.5. I am very concerned. His legs are weak also. Please help!!!
