My Boyfriend Has Circular Itchy Patches With A Red Border

my boyfriend has circular itchy patches with a red border mostly on outer thighs and few on torso. he uses lotrimin cream as he thinks its yeast. the itching subsides and they fade but do not go away totally. he is not a sweaty person and has none in groin or elsewhere.
