My Brother Is A Type 1 Diabetic..lately He S Been

my brother is a type 1 diabetic..lately he s been complaining that in the mornings whe he opens hes eyes all he sees is brightness like having a flashlight right in front of his eyes...it stays like that for a few minutes, then its starts to come back little by little..what cab be causing this?
