My Dad Is 80 And Has A Long Term History

my dad is 80 and has a long term history of kidney stones. while in the hospital this weekend he had a ct scan to view the stones. maybe it was a cat scan. Can't remember. when doctors met with my dad they asked if he had ever been told he had a spot on his pancreas and he said no. THey then said he needed to get this looked at as soon as possible. We fear pancreatic cancer although no one has said this. Could this be soomething else?
