My Daughter 35 Yr White Female Is Having Major Depression

my daughter 35 yr white female is having major depression episode.
she has had several in the past 16 years.
she is currently taking cymbalta, zoloft(generic),synthroid,
oct 1 the psychiatrist put her on abilify 5 mg after 1 week increase it to 10 mg.
after 22 days my daughter states no significant improvement.
the psychiatrist now reduce the abilify back to 5 mg and added ritalin 5 mg at 9am and at 3pm.
at 7pm tonite at the kitchen table after supper we were encouraging her that with time and
medication things will get better. what scared us was it looked like she went into a trance
for a 3- 5 seconds . we immediately got her a cold compress and cold water and opened the door
for cold fresh air. we didn't know whether she was going to faint but again the trance for those
seconds scared us .
