My Doctor Thinks Fluconazole Only Requires 1 Dose, Which Doesn't

my doctor thinks fluconazole only requires 1 dose, which doesn't do any good for throat thrush(caused by radiation treatments). I plead with him to give me more than one pill,as my pharmacist said 7 to 10 days dosing is typical. Consequently my Dr prescribed only 7 150- mg pills. Is there anything you would advise I might do ? I thought maybe taking the last 3 days dosage of pills taken every other day might help,as it states that it remains active in your system for several days post last dose ? Thank you for your help.
