My Emergency Room Doctor Prescribed And Administered A Drug, "Compazine

my emergency room doctor prescribed and administered a drug, "Compazine tab smg," for hiccpus that I had been suffering from for 5 or6 days. That was yesterday, 01-28-16. He also gave me a written prescription for that drug good for five days to take home . The pharmacist filled " prochlorper." Are these safe to take for hiccups? That was last night, 01-28-16. My condition has not changed at all. I am still suffering badly from hiccups. I am diabetic, etc.
Thanks,
Joe
