My E.n.t Gave Me Gabapentin 300mg To Take For A

my e.n.t gave me gabapentin 300mg to take for a issue with my throat i always feel like something is choking me and i cough all the time ...i started with 1 pill the 1st day 2 pills the 2nd day and my 3rd day im to take 3 ...not all at the same time every 8 hours ???? is this something i should be taking i dont and never have had any brain issues like seizures
