My Father Has Been Diagnosed With Cirrhosis And H.E. This

my father has been diagnosed with cirrhosis and H.E. this stemmed from alcohol and hep C. this has been ongoing for a few years. He now has been diagnosed with a 2.1cm mass on his liver. Typical for cirrhosis. My question is life expectancy once the tumor has been identified. One year ago ultrasound was clear of mass. I realize each individual is different and many factors come into play but I am his primary care giver and need to anticipate his needs and decline. is there any ball park figure out there? I need to notify family but don't wish to alarm them to come immediately. He is 77 yrs old and have been told he is not a candidate for transplant or chemo due to his present health and constant monitoring of ammonia levels and other symptoms of H.E.
