My Father Was Cleaning His Ear With The Q-tip And

my father was cleaning his ear with the q-tip and he I guessed pushed it in to deep and yelled sh** I hurt myself and next hing you know he is bleeding he went to the emergency room and they said no sign of infection yet but it had to be treated the doctor said he seems to have puntired a hole in his eardrum but also scraped the inside of his ear what can he do to help heal it quickly he doesn't have any pain only when water gets in his ear what's the best thing to do to help the healing process
