My Hubby Has A Lump On His Shoulder Back And

my hubby has a lump on his shoulder back and its painful to him ,in beginning it had puss and we have checked but doctors said not to worry ,as its genetic his father had a same issuse and died after removal of lump .and there family are prone to cancer so i am scared . we have checked whether it was cancer ,thankfully it was not ,as of now its causing pain to him we are worried .plz let me know what the lump is ???
