My Husband Has A Bacterial Sinus Infection From Complications From

my husband has a bacterial sinus infection from complications from a tooth extraction and removal of a bad root canal. He is on a new heavier course of antibiotic and has had a ct scan and X-ray. He says he is still feeling out of it. How long does it take for the antibiotics to kick in and how can we get rid of the smell.
