My Husband Has A Hard Knot In The Very Corner

my husband has a hard knot in the very corner of his eye (near the nose); he also has a very dry eye
he finished a z pack 2 weeks ago but it has not helped; his eye doctor suggested warm compresses and gentle massages which do not appear to have helped either
suggestions please
