My Husband Has Hepatic Encephalopathy And His Doctor Orders Lactulose

my husband has hepatic encephalopathy and his doctor orders lactulose solution but the drug store gives him contulose which doesn't seem to work as well for him. He has been hospitalized in dec 2015 and then again 2 days ago with episodes. Is contulose the same as lactulose?
