My Husband Has Where His Knee Pops Out Of Socket.

my husband has where his knee pops out of socket. a couple of days ago it stayed out for, i believe, over 24 hours. it did eventually pop itself back in but now his knee is hot to touch, swollen more and his bottom part of leg is red, almost like a rash. he knows he needs an mri, but we just lost our insurance 10/31. he is union and needs more working hours. should i be extremely concerned and get him to doctors or emergency room? thank you
