my husband is 70 years old with lung cancer but his doctor found out when he went for his colonoscopy and he been on chemo for 5 months and just recently his cancer doctor said his hemoglobin was low and that he needs a blood transfusion do that mean he can die without it or can I ask his doctor to give him pills
