Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband is 73, 6" tall , 155 pounds with a ldl of 100 and hdl of 80. He runs a 54 acre working farm, and is all muscle. His imaging studies have indicated an enlarged L ventricle, but he has had no symptoms except a slight shortness of breath during 1 part of a chemical stress test. His Dr is assuming CAD and wants to do a cath with a before-the-procedure agreement for stents. I think this is drastic and potentially dangerous. He has ruled out a metabolic cause for arterial spasms without considering the fact that my husband is chronically dehydrated. I think he should have a calcium scoring CT done first.?????
