My Husband Is Getting A Peg Because He Had Radiation

my husband is getting a peg because he had radiation in his throat which caused damage to something that was helping him swallow and keeping food from his lungs. What is the name and can we get a picture of it? Sorry i do not have correct names Thanks so much Mary Jane
