My Husband Is Going To Hospital For One To Two

my husband is going to hospital for one to two doses of cytoxin prior to the multiple myeloma haresting/auto transplant...........is this necessary? Reading the horrible side affects I am getting nervous. Especially when they actually never mentioned that part to us...........he will go in have this cytoxin, wait on maybe two nights, then come home. this little drug can cause all these things with one dose?
