My Husband Just Got His A1C It Is 7.4 His

my husband just got his A1C it is 7.4 his doctor has prescribed Januvia along with his metformin ,his kidney levels are a little elevated and will have to take a med for that also.My question is I looked up Januvia and there are several lawsuits since 2012 against the makers of the drug.If I read right it shouldn't be used if there are any kidney problems and a lot of problems with this drug causing problems with the pancreas.Do you recommend Januvia to be used .
