My Husband Thinks He Shook Someones Hand And After Putting

my husband thinks he shook someones hand and after putting in ear monitors in his ears, realized they must have had poop on their hands... he forgot and yesterday woke up extremely sick. fever, massive head ache, ear ache, his entire body was sore, weak, dizzy... today, he's worse. red eyes but no puss. is there something i can do to relieve his discomfort tonight before we go to the doctor tomorrow?
