My Husband Was Diagnosed With Dementia And Prescribed Donepezil HCL

my husband was diagnosed with dementia and prescribed Donepezil HCL 10Mg. He took for 4 weeks and then in conjunction with Donepezil was prescribed Namenda XR , has taken both for 2 weeks. He has been halucinating, seeing people who are not there and other things happening only in his mind. He has frightened me by coming in a room with a bat in hand to fight off these imaginary people and has taken a large knife and placed it in case he needs to protect himself. Also gets really angry with me when I try to tell him that I don't see anyone. Could it be the meds doing this to him?
