My Mom 56 Years Old, Thinks She Has Cactus Needles

my mom 56 years old, thinks she has cactus needles in her arms for the last few months. She had come in contact with a cactus"prickly pear". She claims it started not immediately but two weeks later. Its been two months she constantly performs what she calls surgery on her arms with needles and tweezers leaving sores that she cleans daily and wraps in gauze or other cotton materials.
