My Mom Has Had 2 Strokes W Many Little Ones

my mom has had 2 strokes w many little ones in the last year and a half, she has high cholestrol and they say she is not getting enough oxygen to her brain, they perscribed lipitor, she is nervous to take, is this the best option for her? or can she try something else
