My Moms Partner, He Drinks About A Fifth A Day,

my moms partner, he drinks about a fifth a day, he just had back surgery on oct 6th, still in pain, thaTS not my issue, past couple of days he has been looking bad, his skin tone looks like a bruzed green and yellow, my question is i think his liver is shutting down, would i be correct?
