My Mother Had Cataract Surgery Today, She Is Now Experiencing

my mother had cataract surgery today, she is now experiencing pain and keeps saying she feels like there is something poking in her eye. Further to this her eye has gone red and watery. Additionally, she has little nose bleeds which was not mentioned as possible side effects, are these symptoms normal?
