my mother has been dealing with breathing issues for several years. She is 84 years old and has lead a very healthy life until she started breathlessness which has progressed to now full time oxygen. She was diagnosed with Sarcaradosis, pulmonary hypertension and now fibrosing mediastintis. Her doctor in Boise, ID (she lives in Baker City, OR) just called her to let her know the results of her yearly CT scan. It wasn't good. Her R med lob has collapsed, her upper R lob has narrowed and her Left side is "losing ground". Her doctor said OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University) may consider her for an airway stent, BUT they have to see her before they decide. Seems like a very long trip for her 6-8 hrs. minimum to "see if she's a candidiate. What are your thoughts?
