My Period Was 3 Weeks Late, I Was Starting To

my period was 3 weeks late, i was starting to think i was pregnant because my breast were extremely sore and was extremely moody. well my period finally came, but it is different than it usually is. the blood is bright red and not as thick, and I've been having severe cramps that midol wouldn't help at all. what could be wrong?
