my periods suddenly stopped in nov 2015 and I got a very heave period in Feb 2016, soaking 6 pads a day an ultrasound revealed 4 uterine fibroids and fluid filled cyst and polyp, and thickening of endometrium 1.3cm a endometrial biopsy showed no cancer and I was prescribled apo medroxy hormones to stop bleeding 10 days a month, bleeding reduced over 10 days but still soaked 1 pad a stop after the 10 days the bleeding restarted very heavily. My doctor scheduled me for an endometrial ablation but I am not so sure why not find the cause of the bleeding first (fibroids or polyp and remove just that instead). I am 47 with 2 kids and blood test showed i am not perimenopausal yet
