My Son Has An Ultrasound On His Lower Back Resulting

my son has an ultrasound on his lower back resulting in the dr saying his top layer of skin has sealed together but his other layers of skin underneath hadn't, were awaiting an mri scan to see if there any tissue or bone damage ect, is there a name for this so I can research or anything similar please
