My Son In Law Was Diagnosed With Kidney Cancer....tumor In

my son in law was diagnosed with kidney cancer....tumor in left side of kidney. He had pain which they say is not usual. After doing a bone scan they stated that it appears there is something on the bone directly under the tumor....could this be scar tissue since he fractured his ribs a few years back?
