My Son Is 34 Injured His Back & Does Need

my son is 34 injured his back & does need surgery my question is he is shaking stuttering & losing weight.what does this have to do with his back could the shots they tried have caused this? he won't take his pain pills (afraid of addiction) i obviously don't go to the dr. with him but, seeing him this way is really scaring me
