My Son Is 46 Years Old/a Type One Diabetic. He

my son is 46 years old/a type one diabetic. he just spent three days in the hospital with a high temp, nausha .no appetite, and fatigue. while testing for lime disease they discovered his liver was discolored. what does this indicate? he does not drink alcohol.
