My Son Was Playing With A Night Light & Started

my son was playing with a night light & started crying... my mother always puts them out & i can't get him to leave them alone. He misses his dad so he's acting out horribly. Anyways he was figitting with it & started yelling & crying. I'm assuming he shocked himself. anything i SHOULD DO? besides get rid of the night light?
