My Uncle Recently Went To The Hospital With Major Swelling

my uncle recently went to the hospital with major swelling from (left) sternum to spine - combined with a massive knot 10 cm x 10 cm, going 15 cm into the chest cavity. prelim ct scan shows mass which has distorted the normal position of the heart & its arteries. massive mass located in liver he had c/o chest, back, neck and head pain. they are treating him with rituxan, corticosteroid, Cytoxan, Adriamycin, and vincristine. my major concern is that the girlfriend is stating that the chemo is 100% cure. I have a hard time believing this....... any input? biopsy was done to chest lump, then a couple of days later a bone marrow biopsy was done
