My Wife Has A Cough, She Recently Has Had A

my wife has a cough, she recently has had a cold , but she has been complaining her heart feels like its skipping a beat . first it was once in a while , now it is more frequently.also her cough has worsened to the point that she can not sleep. is this a heart condition or broncitis.
