My Wife Has Had A Sore Throat For About 7

my wife has had a sore throat for about 7 days. . This past Tuesday she developed laryngitis and went to an urgent care. the Dr said no strep throat. Now, she's developed chills and a fever of 102.4 degrees (digital thermometer) Last three days she's had dry cough (not coughing up anything) Her sore throat seems to get more severe during the afternoon. Everything she eats is tasteless. No nausea or diarrhea. Thoughts?
