My Wife Is Suffering Mental Confusion From Low Potassium 2.5

my wife is suffering mental confusion from low potassium 2.5 it has been treated and she is in a hospital, but is mentally " gone' how long can I expect the condition to last/ ( not the first time for medication confusion issues-- she is sensitive to them , age 69 a-fib, mild case- 4th day of confusion- potassium now normal
