My Wife Just Got A Prescription Of Mupirocin Cream To

my wife just got a prescription of mupirocin cream to treat a sore in her nose. She was told to put the cream on a qtip and apply it to her nostril. She immediately started bleeding from her nose, and is now resting in bed and the bleeding seems to have stopped but her nose is now plugged up with the clotted blood. She doesn't have any other symptons except she has a cold and is taking an antibiotic for that and also some cough syriup containing codiene. she has only taken 2 tblsp of the cough syrup
