Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
ok it's my right mcl. I get out of bed after sleeping I can step down on it and walking isn't a problem. I walk 5 miles a night working as a school custodian so it doesn't bother me. stability is fine. What happens is when I go to sit down anytime after waking up in the morning and sitting. Sitting can only be for a minute or a hour, I'm sitting now while typing, when I go to stand I gingerly put the weight back onto that leg/knee until it straightens with acute pain take a few steps and then it's ok. So basically at work I just keep working for long periods of time knowing what process I need to go through to get up. It only last a few seconds till I get my leg accumated and straightens. No swelling at all. I can create the most pain on purpose by sitting in this chair now and resting my right ankle/foot on top of my left knee and slowly flattening my right knee by pushing down on it and forming a L- shape and the pain is seems to be all bone. I think it's the area where the mcl attaches to the tibia or shin. pain can intensify by just using my finger and pushing down on the area. Short version it takes a few seconds to straighten my leg so running out of the house during a fire will take a few extra seconds. Jumping is an issue don't want to try it. thanks, jeff
