Patient Is 88 Years Old And He Is Having Trouble

patient is 88 years old and he is having trouble sleeping. Some nights he is awake until morning .His doctor has prescribed zolpidem tartrate but he has many side effects with it. He also has heart problems and has a pace maker. What we would like to know if this a dangerous medication for him to take.
