Plastic Taste In My Mouth Like An Aftertaste Of Any

plastic taste in my mouth like an aftertaste of any foods or drinks (smoothies, water, tea). I'm not sure if it can be related to a cold or flu, because I feel like I'm coming up with cold. Also, recently I've had a root canal could that be it?
