Please Can You Help, I Have Had A Painful Nipple

please can you help, i have had a painful nipple for two days but it has now got worse it is really swollen and is so tender i can not bare anything touching it, i am not breast feeding or expecting i am 51 years old and in good health, nor have i changed my diet or washing powder,
