please list likely causes of recurrent open sores on lower leg, not on plantar surface of foot. several have been unassociated with trauma of any kind, but have developed from tiny sores into 3-6 cm wounds which eventually seem to close on their own. patient is female, slightly overweight, ~70 yrs old.
