Proteus Infection Of The Throat.. Had It Years Ago And

proteus infection of the throat.. had it years ago and was treated by dr. salk at the medical university of s c back in the late 50's he made a serum from my throat culture and i took it by shots in decreasing strengths for about a year. is this still treated this way? how prevalent is it? it was never determined where i got it.
