Seems As Though I Have A Fluid Build Up On

seems as though I have a fluid build up on the base of my right thumb. Brigham and Womens Hosp care to remove fluid on my left thumb. It has been going on for several weeks now where my first joint on right thumb is inflamed and has a knocking twitch. The fluid retention feels like a spur. Is it possible to wear down the fluid?
