Sharp Piercing Pain In Middle Of Back, That Grabs Me

sharp piercing pain in middle of back, that grabs me at times when I turn (even slightly) or bend; I thought was a back issue, but seems could be gas as I burp quite often; has been 3 days now; the pain is very sharp but only lasts a few seconds b4 disappears; have been taking ibuprofen & gasx.
