Swelling Each Night In The Right Leg. Went To Dr

swelling each night in the right leg. Went to Dr 4 weeks ago & he said I sprained high instep. He only did manual manipulation of the foot/ankle area. I have applied cold packs & hot soaks intermittently per instructions. could this be something else?
