Thank You - I Have Been Taking Triamterene As A

thank you - I have been taking triamterene as a means of "water removal" because of high blood pressure. I am an 85 year old woman - otherwise in relatively good health (except for a chronic & severe cough that has been treated unsuccessfully for 30 or more years. It is worsening. My blood pressure remains high even while taking the medication. I am rethinking all the medication I am taking & want to come off this medication plus omeprazole, cloanzepam & tramadol (the latter two for cough & muscle relaxation.) While having been an athlete all my life, have not recently been as active. Am widowed & have within the past year made a major dwelling move. We do have a gym & I feel it is time to resume a daily workout in place of medication. I am a controlled eater, do not smoke (never), have one drink per night, but have developed an extended stomach & muscle cramps from coughing. How to you feel about removing medications & replacing them with more (build up to) aggressive exercise?
