This Is No Joke.... Im 47 Years Old And All

this is no joke.... Im 47 years old and all of a sudden my husband is telling me vagina is very tight. Just out of the blue. I have notice that a tampon is hard to get in during period time, too. I have never skipped a check up, went every year. Always negative paps since 1991... My husband and I have been having sex since 18 years old so should I be alarmed? If so what could cause the swelling? No discharge, no smell. I just had my hormones blood lab drawn and they are within normal limits... as of two years ago i am premenopausaL..
